One of the most interesting exhibitions recently seen was that of Anjali Arora at the Artists' Centre, Mumbai. She paints Impressionistic still-lifes, townscapes and landscapes in oils and watercolours.There is a sense of romanticism in all her works, as in the canal scene, and especially in the painting depicting the flower in a glass vase at the edge of the table.
From thick impasto to transparent watercolour, Arora's brush moves with ease and perfect understanding of the medium.With a good sense of composition and a rich colour sense in the choice of her subjects, Arora shows her dexterity, romance and maturity.
