Hossein Fallahi born in 1938,learnt miniature by a famous miniaturist in Esfahan who was called Ali Sajjad.He was his student for 30 years, managing the master's workshop.When his master died in 1981, he established a workshop, painting Persian miniature in different styles.

Hossein and his workshop's miniatures are all in the traditional styles,and also from imagination, from Persian literature like poems by Hafez,Omar khayyam and Ferdowsi, and from Persian stories like love stories and Persian culture.

His painting method is as follows:

Persian miniature always is based on Imagination, on what the artist wills rather than on what really exist.The artist first considers a composition from his imagination and the colors he must use;then he does the details that show his experience.
