Welcome to my online gallery. I hope you enjoy viewing my works here that span the years 1997 to current. I am a self-taught painter, and my inspiration has come from nature, the French Impressionists, and street life. I find the last so very fascinating: be it the cacophony and intense activity of streets in my home city Ahmedabad, or the rich, diverse and quite cacophonous life in the streets of New York. New York particularly reminds me so much of Mumbai in India. Somedays, as I step out of the subway station and emerge into the street, the smells of traffic and the air, and the perspective offered by the narrow street dwarfed by towering buildings on either side of it transport me back to memories of Mumbai. Check out my prints of New York City for a fun, fantasy-ridden merged world. I do hope I can squeeze in some painting now & then, especially now that I have finished graduate school at the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University. Do check out my design-related work, both corporate as well as academic. I have recently set up my blog where I'll be talking about issues realting to design, interaction design, information architecture & technology. Check it out here. Wander around the various sections of my web site, & do let me know how you liked it. I look forward to your feedback. Enjoy!!
